Jumpstart Workshop

Jumpstart is the only business workshop and networking event built exclusively for professional AV event companies. No generic sales talk, just real-world strategies, candid peer conversations, and practical tools you can put to work immediately.

About Jumpstart Workshops

The AV business has entered a new era. Clients are more informed, expectations are higher, and margins are tighter than ever. Equipment no longer sets you apart—your thinking does. Today’s buyers want a trusted partner who can own the outcome, not just deliver the gear.

That shift is an opportunity—if you know how to sell it.

Jumpstart Workshops 2026 are built for AV company owners who want to grow with intention. This is where you sharpen your sales strategy, modernize your pricing, and reposition your company as indispensable to your clients’ success.

The market has changed. Jumpstart is where your business catches up—and pulls ahead

Jumpstart Workshops are immersive, in-person working sessions designed for owners, executives, and senior leaders in the professional live event and audiovisual production industry.

Built on years of trusted industry leadership, Jumpstart has earned a reputation for real work, honest conversation, and applied execution. As the original creator steps back from day-to-day leadership, the workshops continue—grounded in the same principles, standards, and commitment to meaningful progress.

FAQs

Q: I have dietary restrictions. What are the food options?

A: Everybody likes a sandwich from time to time, but we like hot meals and variety. There are always vegetarian and gluten-free options, but if you have other needs, please let us know.

Q: Who should attend? Is this just for Owners or Executives?

This event is built to support your entire Management Team in making stronger long-term strategic decisions. For your organization to thrive, your team should be just as informed and aligned as you are.

Q: I haven’t decided who can attend; can I still make my purchase?

A: Yes. During registration, you’ll be asked for attendee names and emails. Simply enter your name (or a placeholder name) and complete the registration. You can email us updates later.

Q: Will my competitor be there?

A: Organizations from the same industry regularly participate, and that’s often where the strongest ideas and most valuable partnerships emerge. Don’t let that hesitation keep you from joining.

Q: What’s the dress code?

A: You know how it goes… hot outside and sub-zero in the ballroom. Dress accordingly and don’t feel pressured to be too formal.

AI Won’t Save Your Show. It Might Save Your Business.

Every AV conversation this year has the same shape. Someone brings up InfoComm 2026, mentions “agentic AI,” and the room nods like that settles it. Self-optimizing systems that flag equipment failures before they become showstoppers. Cameras that track a speaker without an operator. Captioning and translation that happen in real time. All real, all useful, […]

The Freelance Pool Is Shrinking

The Freelance Pool Is Shrinking

Every conversation about the labor shortage lands on the same false choice: eat the rising freelance rates and hope the pool refills, or start converting show ops to full-time staff and eat the overhead instead. Both are wrong moves. The pool isn’t refilling on its own, and building full-time crew for show operations defeats the […]

Why Your Marketing Sounds Like Everyone Else’s

You could swap the logos and nobody would notice. This is not a coincidence. It’s what happens when companies describe themselves the way they want to be seen, instead of the […]
